For Crust:
1 Box Yellow Cake Mix (Reserve 2/3 cup)
1 egg
1/2 cup melted butter
For Filling: 2/3 cup cake mix
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups Karo syrup, light or dark
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
Preparation
Mix together Crust ingredients. Press into 9 x 13 pan.
Bake 10-15 minutes at 350 degrees until golden brown.
Mix all ingredients for filling. Add 1/2 cup of chopped pecans to
mixture. Pour filling mixture over the above golden brown crust. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup of chopped
pecans on filling. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees or until mixture is set. Cool and cut.
